Meet Kaleb — Your Local Web Designer in Salina KS
If you've ever hired an out-of-state agency to build your website and ended up feeling like just another invoice — this one's for you. My name is Kaleb, and I'm the guy behind Kansas Prairie Webworks. I'm a Central Kansas native, a farm kid from Saline County, and a small business owner who learned web design, digital marketing, and AI technology the hard way — by doing it myself when nobody local could give me a straight answer at a fair price.
This post is a little about who I am, why I started this agency, and what makes Kansas Prairie Webworks different from the options most small businesses in this region have been settling for.
Grew Up Here. Still Here.
I grew up on a farm in Saline County. I know what it means to work hard for what you build and to not have patience for people who waste your time or take your money without delivering. That background shapes how I run my business — straightforward, accountable, and local.
About five years ago I started Diehls Trucking, an owner-operated end dump hauling business. Building that company taught me a lot about what it takes to run a small business in Central Kansas — and it also introduced me to the frustrating reality of trying to get a real online presence without paying out-of-state agencies that disappear once they've cashed your check.
The Agency Experience That Started It All
Early on I paid $1,500 to a California-based agency to set up my Google Business Profile, Facebook page, and website. Basic stuff — plain and generic. When I wanted more and tried to reach them, it was always more money. Eventually they stopped answering altogether.
That experience lit a fire. I started studying everything I could — SEO, web development, digital marketing, AI tools, blockchain technology. Years of consistent learning turned into specialized knowledge that most agencies in this market simply don't have. I started applying it for myself first, then for a few people I knew, then more seriously when I realized there was a real gap here in Central Kansas that I was uniquely positioned to fill.
From Trucking to Crypto to Web Design
Along the way I built some things that most local web designers in Kansas haven't touched. I developed DogeBeats — an AI-assisted music marketplace built on the Dogecoin ecosystem — which gave me hands-on experience with web3 platforms, payment integrations, and AI-powered systems that go well beyond a standard business website.
That technical depth is something I bring to every client project at Kansas Prairie Webworks. You're not getting a template-pusher. You're getting someone who has actually built complex systems from scratch and knows how to apply that knowledge to a small business website that performs.
Why I Started Kansas Prairie Webworks
Through family connections I took on my first real web design client and realized something quickly — I could genuinely help local businesses in a way that the out-of-state agencies never could. Not just because of the technical skills, but because I'm here. I understand this area, these people, and what matters to a small business owner in Central Kansas.
I started Kansas Prairie Webworks to give local businesses something simple that they weren't getting: a web designer they can actually meet in person, shake hands with, call directly, and count on to be in the same state when they need help six months down the road.
What You Get When You Work With Me
I'm not a big agency. I'm a local guy who answers his phone, knows your name, and treats your business like it matters — because it does. Here's what working with Kansas Prairie Webworks actually looks like:
- A real conversation about your business before anything gets built
- A website designed specifically for your business — not a generic template with your logo dropped in
- Google Business Profile setup and optimization so you show up where customers are searching
- Facebook Business Page setup and strategy so your social presence works with your website
- Local SEO built in from the start — not added as an afterthought
- Ongoing support from someone you can actually reach
I use the latest AI tools to build faster, smarter, and more efficiently — which means better results for clients without inflated prices. Technology is my edge, but local trust is my foundation.
Big Smile. Positive Attitude. No Brick Wall Too Thick.
People who know me know I stay positive. If I run into something I don't immediately have the answer to, I'll put in the work to find it. That's not a sales line — that's just how I operate. I've built a trucking company, a crypto platform, and a web agency by being the person who figures it out no matter what. I bring that same energy to every client project.
If you're a small business owner in Salina, or anywhere across Central Kansas, and you're tired of feeling invisible online — or tired of agencies that don't return your calls — I'd love to have a conversation. No pressure, no pitch, just a straight talk about what you need and whether I can help.
